Creating The Sacred In Your Everyday

There Are No "Small" Moments

· Soul,Connection,Purpose,Presence,Sacred

My granddaughter and I were learning something new together; how to make a yarn necklace.

What I didn't realize, though, was that this would be one of those Sacred Moments in my life.

She turned 3 a little over a month ago and I had taken her shopping to pick out the yarn, straws and a plastic needle. I just thought it would be a fun fine motor skill activity for us to do... not knowing such a seemingly small learning experience would teach me SO much in the ways of the Sacred!

I showed her how to use scissors to cut the yarn and straws which was obviously great fun for her!

I was delighted at her delight, her concentration, and her adorable chitter chattering... but what I wasn't expecting was that moment...

She looked me in the eyes, we were smiling at each other and I saw it in her eyes in the moment I felt it reverberate through my heart... SHE felt a wave of love for me and she put her stuff down to hop into my lap and hug me tight while telling me, "I love you, Grammy."

She is so special to me. I got to catch her when she was born... another Sacred Moment... but I digress... here making yarn straw necklaces, I know she could feel my love for her and now I could feel her love for me stronger than ever before. I felt it click and burst forth!

Love is a physical vibration we feel in our bodies and it vibrates out beyond our bodies. This sensation is a physical resonance of two souls connecting deeply.

This happened with my 7 year old grandson over his summer break... we would spend a couple hours a day just playing games together... Battleship, Uno Spin, the poop game ;D that one is a Park Rangers Jr. game where you match the animal to their tracks and scat! Haha! We do puzzles together, too.

Then it happened, my brilliant energetic grandson that isn't usually a hugger, initiated a hug while he told me he loved me! This was a most welcomed surprise of honest love!

They are initiating their verbal and physical expression of love AFTER I have spent time with them, looking them in their eyes, listening to them share their stories, engaging in fun activities with them.

We're creating memories of bonding and loving that will nourish them for their entire lives!

This time tells them without words (unless I use words ;D) that they matter to me. I'm SO grateful they are my grandchildren. They have a sense of belonging to me in a way that feels nourishing... a safe haven.

Honestly, connecting with my little grandchildren is EASY!

What's sometimes a struggle is connecting with my brilliant Soul while also accepting and LOVING my humanness, too... that's not always EASY cuz I get tired, or irritable, or hormonal, or I think I'm not good enough in one way or another (or I'm told I'm not good enough in one way or another ;-)

But what I'm learning from building loving, connected relationships with my grandchildren is that this is how I healed so much of my PTSD or issues of my past. I spent a lot of time with my Soul, my Infiinite Self. I spent time with my humanness, too... the qualities I love and the qualities I don't. I spent time with all of myself while acknowleding that my angels and ancestors and Source were with me during each of these moments loving me neverendingly... just like I do for my grandchildren.

Just as I feel my grandchilren are my absolute delight... to simply witness them being children or to actually engage in fun activities together, or routine activities like brushing hair ;D ...they mesmerize me and bring my Soul Self to the forefront of my consciousness...

I can feel that I am my angels' and ancestors' absolute delight! I still can't figure out WHY, Haha! But I know it's true with every part of my Being. I know my entire life is celebrated by Them!

I KNOW this is true for YOU, too!!

When we take the time to smile at ourselves straight in the eyes... using a mirror or not ;-) we build our connection to the deeper parts of ourselves and enrich our life experience.

How do you look yourself in the eyes without a mirror?

Meditations and shamanic journeys are powerful ways to connect with every part of yourself. This is even how I found my Soul's Purpose via Scientific Hand Analysis! Meditations and journeys are nourishing ways to spend time with yourself and engage in truly being present with yourself. I think this is also a fun way to share stories in a meaningful, even a prayerful way.

What does it mean to be present? What is presence? To me, being present means my thoughts and/or energy has my focused attention on what is happening right now, right here in front of me.

In the case of my grandchildren, my loving attention is my presence. On other occasions it may have been the best I could do in the moment was to bring my open curiosity, not judgement, to the situation ;D

By allowing yourself the presence to have enormous amounts of fun with friends and family, by allowing yourself to have deeply relaxing bodywork, and powerful healing session, by taking the time to journal and make teas or herbal medicines, by taking the time to "read the book of you" like reading your Hand Analysis report, your astrology report, your Human Design report, your dream journal or soul goals, etc... SO many endless amounts of ways to connect with yourself on SO many levels... these build bonds of love and connection for you and your life that will help you face life's inevitable challenges and obstacles with much more ease and grace than you ever dreamed possible!

Taking the time to allow Love to burst forth through your entire body and being is worth every second of your presence, just like my time with my 3 year old granddaughter has awakened me to the sacredness of being present with each other doing "seemingly small" activities.

When you bring your presence (your loving attention) to your moments, your bring the purpose of your existence to that moment which opens your heart to the sacredness of Life.

The life right in front of you is always at the ready to infuse your entire being with unconditional love in the moment you witness it with even a crack of an open heart. You then begin to stack up a treasure trove of memories that build your foundation of faith in Love, your faith in the sacredness of your life, your failth in your presence and Soul Purpose for being, and your faith (or now Knowing) that you are truly Guided on every step of your path.

If you like "Soul Work," I encourage you to bring your loving attention, or at least open curiosity ;D to your moments throughout your day today. Journal your journey...

You're worth the effort and so is your phenomenal "normal" life.
